Hello and thank you for visiting my website.

I have been a gigging musician since 2001 and for nearly 20 years I was keyboard player and backing vocalist for popular Bristol Band, Tundra, playing hundreds of gigs around Bristol and the wider area. We supported The Wurzels on several occasions as well as Bad Manners (when I was taking a few years off)

In 2024 I was asked to join a trio, Close Encounter as lead singer and guitarist, singing most of the songs. This was the start of a new journey as a lead vocalist. Since September 2025 I branched out as a solo act and Solo Encounter was born, giving me the space to bring the synthesizer back into my performances as well as the acoustic guitar.

Through this journey I began to build up a Country music set and this is now the music I perform at most gigs, although the Classic Hits, 80's Synthpop and Chill sets will always be available where required for venues (because not everyone is a country fan!)​

Aside from music, many of my local followers know me as 'The Owl Man' as I was a well known British Owl Specialist and Wildlife Educator for 25 years working as 'Wild Owl', appearing on TV, radio and in various printed media over the years and giving hundreds of public talks as a professional speaker. So in one way or another I have always been 'on stage'.
